Being educated is one of the most important things that one must be in order to become a stock broker in New York. There is no substitution for education when looking to be a stock broker. Marine Corps boot camp is one of the single most intense things that any person can go through. Would you survive 13 weeks isolated from society being grilled physically and mentally by drill instructors? Every year countless recruits don’t. One reason is that most recruits go in without properly preparing themselves. Here are the three most important things any recruit needs to know when they head to basic training at San Diego or Parris Island.

1)????? Physical fitness requirements for Marine recruits are higher than any other branch.

Marine recruits need to be in better shape to pass their physical fitness requirements than recruits in the Army, Navy or Air Force. For a perfect score of 300, a Marine needs to be able to run 3 miles in 18 minutes, do 100 sit-ups, and 20 pull-ups. This is extremely challenging and not many Marines will hit a perfect 300, but you should still strive to be at this point BEFORE you go into boot camp.

2)????? Marine boot camp is as mentally challenging as it is physically challenging.

Physical failure isn’t the only way to break in boot camp, and every year recruits give in and ring the bell because they can’t take the mental strain. Your mind will be challenged both with learning and knowledge, and with high amounts of mental stress. Be ready. Before you head to basic, make sure your mind is as tough as nails, or you’ll never make it.

3)????? The drill instructors will try and break you, it’s part of their job. Don’t let them.

The Marine Corps only want the very best among their ranks, and the drill instructors will make sure that only the best graduate. They will push you to your limit and then further both physically and mentally. They will play mind games with you and they will pick on every weakness you show. Make it your personal goal to thwart their attempts. Make it a point of pride to not let them break you.
