International Rythym festival in Germany opened new vistas for him as a mridangist, Well-versed in playing kanjira & in the art of oral mnenomics ‘konnakal’ Venkatesh has made India proud by being the first South. Indian so far, to perform in Europe’s acclaimed ‘music academy’ in Germany. His students are scattered around the world. Layamani and mridanga chakravarthi were confered on him which bears testimony to his remarkable service to laya. The Seer of Puttaparithi honoured Venkatesh on the former`s birthday.
